This Privacy Policy describes how SATWIP ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with your use of the SATWIP Windows desktop application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy.
1. Information We Collect
SATWIP does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information about you. Specifically:
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any other identifying information.
- We do not use tracking technologies such as cookies, analytics pixels, or telemetry beacons within the App.
- All data you enter into the App (screening criteria, saved results, preferences) is stored locally on your own device and is never transmitted to us.
2. Data the App Fetches from Third Parties
SATWIP queries the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's publicly available EDGAR API to retrieve financial filing data. This is a one-way, read-only request to a public government database. Your identity is not transmitted to EDGAR as part of these requests; only the specific financial data query (e.g., a company ticker or CIK number) is sent as part of the API call.

3. Microsoft Store
SATWIP is distributed through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft may collect diagnostic, usage, and purchase information as part of their platform in accordance with their own privacy policies. This data is collected by Microsoft, not by us. Please review Microsoft's Privacy Statement for details.
4. Children's Privacy
SATWIP is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because we collect no personal information from any user, no special measures are required beyond this notice.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
