About SATWIP
SATWIP was built by an individual investor who wanted to screen American businesses for key fundamentals without paying for expensive third-party software and without trusting a data aggregator's interpretation of company filings. By querying the SEC's EDGAR API directly, SATWIP pulls and screens financial figures from the quarterly and annual reports that publicly-traded US companies file — assets, liabilities, revenue, profit, cash flow and more.
SATWIP is direct and transparent because its input figures come straight from company filings with the SEC and because Debug mode shows exactly which filing and XBRL tag produced each output figure. No middleman. No interpretation. You can verify anything.
Core functionality is free. The planned (not yet released) premium tier may have features such as faster, server-based data fetching, filter result alerts, long-term history (e.g. 40+ years of revenue & profit) and easy transport of personal settings.
